NJ Halloween Wedding at Blue Heron Pines
NJ Halloween Weddings with smoke bombs, pugs, and jack-o-lanterns…
Autumn is as packed with weddings as it is with colorful leaves on the tress.
That’s why it’s never too soon to book your favorite NJ wedding photographer.
I had to ask…How did Amanda + Greg find out about me? What was it about me that told them I was the one?
“We found you through a friend and from the moment we met you and saw your work we knew you would be perfect. Your photography style is so vibrant and unique which is exactly what we wanted for our day.
You also were so friendly and chill, we felt like we were just hanging out with a friend, which was so important to us because we didn't want to feel uncomfortable taking photos that we were going to be cherishing for the rest of our lives
You made us feel so comfortable and you knew exactly the look we were trying to capture.
Thank you for everything you've done for us!“
If it couldn’t get any cooler than this, I just received word that Amanda + Greg’s NJ Halloween wedding is going to be featured by Rock ‘n Roll Bride! I’ll update with a direct link once it’s live.
Enjoy the photos, and then hear all about

How and where did you meet?
We met in 2012 hanging out in downtown Westfield NJ behind the Starbucks (where all the cool kids used to chill )
How did you get engaged?
Greg surprised me with the most perfect proposal at Disney World in front of the castle. We were there for my 25th birthday and he proposed on my birthday. It was everything I could have ever wanted!
Details of your day (theme, colors, favors)
Our theme was slightly rustic and slightly spooky since come on IT WAS HALLOWEEN!
Our colors were burnt orange, mustard yellow, and burgundy to go with all the perfect colors of the fall foliage. Our favors were little blankets since everything took place outdoors.
Why did you choose your venue?
We chose our venue because it fit perfectly with our rustic theme and it fit perfectly in our price range.
What was your menu, what was your cake flavor?
Our three main courses to choose from were Peppercorn Crusted Steak, Chicken Saltimbocca,
and Shrimp & Scallop Scampi (our personal favorite of the 3). Our cake was an almond-flavored cake with a raspberry filling and buttercream icing.
Description of your gown? Why was this “the one”?
My gown was an A-Line shape with lacy sleeves and lace detailing. I knew it was the one because I started crying when I saw myself in it I wanted a dress that was lacy with sleeves and didn't have any rhinestones or sparkles. It was exactly what I pictured myself wearing since I was a little girl.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Our favorite moment of the wedding day was our entrance to the reception when we wore our BeetleJuice
masks and danced in to Jump In The Line
One detail you couldn’t live without?
Amanda- My great grandma's white rose pin on my dress right over my heart
Greg- My great grandmother's handkerchief in my pocket
Did anything go wrong?
We had a little mishap with our wedding license but thankfully everything worked out.
First dance song?

What advice would you give new brides about planning their wedding day? Anything and everything counts. How to find the right vendors, how to manage headcount, how to stay sane and not get overwhelmed in the planning, etc.?
Coming from an anxious and completely neurotic person like me (Amanda) I can't stress enough that
EVERYTHING will turn out exactly like you pictured it. Try not to stress too much and enjoy the process because it's only 24 hours and what matters most is that you're marrying the love of your life, not what your table centerpieces look like. Also, always ask for your partner's input when it comes to decorations and themes because it's just as much their wedding as it is yours.
How has your relationship grown over the years?
Every year we reach goals that we never thought we could and we push ourselves to be better people.
What’s kept you together?
Trust and understanding. We are very open about everything and we are always there supporting each other no matter what. We always make sure we tell each other how much we love and value one another.
What are some fun things you do together as a couple and with friends?
We love to go hiking and kayaking. We also love traveling and we hope to go to Japan one day soon.
Where did you honeymoon?
We haven't gone on our honeymoon yet, we won't be going till October of 2021 but we'll be going to Disney World!
Family plans? Kids? Pets?
Our next step is buying a house and adopting as many pugs as that house will hold
What’s new since being married? What’s solidified/bonded/grown in your relationship since?
We honestly haven't felt any different since getting married which we think is exactly how it should be. If anything, we feel like we are even more of a team than before and we feel so optimistic about our future years together and where life will take us.
