Rustic Waterloo Village Wedding | Jamie & Jaymes | Daniel Nydick NJ Modern Wedding Photography
It’s been almost a year since Jamie & Jaymes tied the knot at Waterloo Village Weddings.
I’m excited to share that Jamie & Jaymes’ Waterloo Village twedding has been published over at New Jersey Bride Magazine’s blog!
What better time to share the images that tell the Love Story of their rustic, charming, and intimate wedding day?
Let’s give a little backstory. We met in person to talk about their search for the perfect wedding photography over some tacos.
Our chat quickly turned into a playful, loving photoshoot (click here to check it out!). Once they saw the photos, we all knew we were a match.
What started that day was a connection; a relationship between us all. Who would have guessed that more than 2 years later, and a year after their wedding, that we’d still be friends, still have dinner & barbecues together?

Jamie & Jaymes, thank YOU for letting Daniel Nydick Wedding Photography capture the moments and memories of your wedding day. I’m proud to be able to call you two amazing humans my friends!
1. How and where did you meet?
We met at Pearl Paint back when I was about 20 or so working a regular retail job. She was coming in to see her friend but we'd make some time to hang out and chat together. Later on, we got to texting and talking outside of my job where we learned that we had more in common than we thought. After countless nights of late-night texting and hanging out we found out we had more in common than we realized. One of the biggest discoveries we found out was me and my family had been to her family restaurant before we had even met where I first met her Grandfather! Who would have known?
2. How has your relationship grown over the years?
Over the years we've learned we've learned what makes us click and work together, and most importantly the things we both are weak and strong out. We've used this to distribute tasks for one another based on what we are better at or what we enjoy doing more.
3. What’s kept you together?
Learning each other’s habits. Making each other better without changing who we are as people. Having a team mentality is the most important thing, know that we have each other’s back with support whenever we can give it. Whether it's big or small tasks, like kicking each other to start a diet to be healthier, or taking care of dinner when the other one is not feeling well, or doing laundry when the other has a ton of other things on their plate.
4. What are some fun things you do together as a couple and with friends?
We try to keep it lively. We plan different exciting and different events (when it's not COVID) to keep things fun and exciting, both with friends and with ourselves. We're always down to try something new and that creates a new experience every time
5. Where did you honeymoon?
Thailand. One of the best trips of our lives. We had a new event every day. The moment we landed we got tattoos, right to a food tour, got to visit and meet with a very friendly elephant, see a Muay Thai fight, saw a once in a lifetime lantern festival, had a hotel by a beautiful beach. You name it and we did it. Wouldn't change it for the world
6. Family plans? Kids? Pets?
Pets 100%. We plan on starting a family but we are taking a when it happens, it happens approach.
.
7. What’s new since being married? What’s solidified/bonded/grown in your relationship since?
We've been together so long that I never imagined a life without Jamie. This was just the next step in furthering who we were as a couple and solidifying our unity. Really the toughest part has been getting used to seeing her last name changed.
8. Why did you choose your venue, what do you love about it?
We both agreed early on we didn't want a traditional catering hall. It just wasn't for us. We had viewed several places but when we both stepped onto waterloo village we both had a feeling of "this is the place". When you know, you know type of deals. It fit both of our styles and we felt it was incredibly photogenic.
9. What were your favorite memories of your wedding day?
Is it too much to say all of it? Luckily I can't really remember any significant hiccups or screw-ups from the night. It was a whirlwind of a day with everything going on but I think the thing I noticed about it the most was the atmosphere. It was warm and positive, and people having fun which filled the air with such amazing vibes that created an experience I've only felt that night. Our family and friends really came through to make it such a special night.
10. What advice would you give new brides about planning their wedding day during COVID? Anything and everything counts. How to find the right vendors, how to manage headcount, how to stay sane and not get overwhelmed in the planning, etc.?
Don't panic, and try not to get worked up over every little detail. It's a tough world we live in now since COVID and maybe it isn't everything you expect or want it to be but take advantage of what you can't. Adapt and be creative. Remember why you're having a wedding. It's to express the love you share for each other, there's no reason this can't still be one of the best days of your lives.
I’d love to tell YOUR wedding day’s Love Story with my lens. Check my availability today!
