How did you meet?
It was November 2020, the city was barely open, but the streets were bustling. Jan was on his way to meet a client before court, and Rosanne was trying to find a place to pick up treats for one of her clients. At the outset of both of our journeys, on a random street corner, we locked eyes and fell in love. But our professional duties dragged us apart, and we went our separate ways. 15 minutes later, after both Jan and Rosanne were turned away by restaurants, bakeries and delis, we stumbled upon each other once again. Jan asked Rosanne for her number (he actually almost didn’t), and the rest is history.
How has your relationship grown over the years?
We have become more understanding of each others desires and needs through mutual experiences, like traveling the world and adventuring together.
How did you get engaged?
Jan proposed to Rosanne at a mock “mutual birthday party” of Jan, Rosanne’s brother and aunt at a beautiful park by a large lake on a colorful autumn day. The only person not in on it was Rosanne of course!
What are some fun things you do together as a couple and with friends?
As a couple: Travel (we’re in Germany for the Eurocup right now as we write!), play video games together, spend time with our adorable dog Jonas, EAT.
With friends: host and attend parties, go out, and celebrate each others’ milestones (there have been many in the past few years!)
What’s new since being married?
Wearing our rings and saying “my husband” or “my wife.” It’s an extremely satisfying reminder that we tied the knot with the love of our lives.

Theme: romantic spring wedding. Colors: blush pink and navy blue.
One detail you couldn’t live without?
Jonas, our dog.
Why did you choose your venue?
It was beautiful, the food was incredible, and they offered an overall experience as opposed to just a place to host our wedding.
What was your menu, what was your cake flavor?
Cake was 4 tier: two tiers of French Raspberry Crème and two tiers of Dulce De Leche Menu: everything under the sun lol!
Description of your gown? Why was this “the one”?
It had an intricate lace design with a gorgeous train and cathedral veil. It was the 4th gown I tried on at the first boutique I went to with my mom, future MIL, maid of honor, and bridesmaid. I started tearing up for some reason the moment I put it on.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Rosanne: saying our vows, Jonas entering the ceremony, the absolute banger that was our reception, our fun and chill after party!
Jan: Listening to Rosanne’s vows and dancing salsa with Rosanne at the reception.

Where will you honeymoon?
In September we’ll honeymoon in Switzerland and Italy.

Rosanne found you on Instagram after searching “NJ Wedding Photographers.”
Any advice for future couples?
Plan ahead, be patient, do not be pressured by the “dream wedding” feeling, help each other out whenever possible, be open to error, and above all, during the process of planning, remember to love your partner and find the fun in it all.
